We at Millennium Dance Productions are closely monitoring the virus of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and will update this page with any changes as they arise.

We are proceeding with ALL events as scheduled but will be monitoring the CDC etc and working with our venues, staff and participants to ensure everything is  done to prevent the spreading of COVID-19.

Human coronaviruses cause infections of the nose, throat and lungs. They are most commonly spread from an infected person through:

  • respiratory droplets generated when you cough or sneeze

  • close, prolonged personal contact, such as touching or shaking hands

  • touching something with the virus on it, then touching your mouth, nose or eyes before washing your hands

• We will be making announcements throughout the events to ensure proper hygiene is used to help reduce the risk of infection or spreading infection to others by:

  • wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the washroom and when preparing food

    • use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available

  • when coughing or sneezing:

    • cough or sneeze into a tissue or the bend of your arm, not your hand

    • dispose of any tissues you have used as soon as possible in a lined waste basket and wash your hands afterwards

  • avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands

• We will be following a hands free policy. We ask that all dancers/spectators/teachers/staff etc to refrain from hugging, high-fiving, handshakes etc. each other during our event to help limit the spread of any germs. We encourage studios to come up with their own non contact greeting for support and kindness of one another.

• All of our events will be live streamed from start to finish including performances, adjudications and the showcase/finals.

We encourage all dancers and/or audience members to please refrain from attending any of our events if you are at an increased risk of a more severe case of COVID-19 (aged 65 and over, compromised immune systems or underlying medical conditions)

OR

If you are not feeling well or have come in contact with a person who has either tested positive with COVID-19 or travelled to a heavily affected area by the virus.

• We will be working with all of our venues to ensure that they are prepared for our events and will be providing Hand sanitizer and/or wipes at our merchandise table, dressing rooms, backstage and other areas within the venue.

• All concerns with regards to the COVID-19 virus should be directed to your studio and then pass along to Millennium Productions. As you  can appreciate we cannot answer every question that might come to us in regards to the virus.

We understand that this is a stressful and frustrating time but we want to make sure that the safety of our dancers, families, staff etc is our top priority!
